Given the choice between a current S-Class and an LS, I'd actually take the Lexus and spend the money I save over the Merc on one of these new Ducati Scramblers.
Inb4 "But Nighthawk, don't you have a Mercedes? Aren't you a Mercedes fanboy?"
Well yes to both counts but I just don't trust the reliability of modern German cars. My W140 is complex enough as it is but at least it is also tough. My uncle used to work at a shop that specialized in relatively recent Mercs, Bimmers and Audis and I've seen enough to know I wouldn't want to own one of those off warranty.

I want to drive every gen S class.
I have the W220 and W221 down, but the rest... still haven't :(

I would get an LS, I don't like the new S-class

Driving my S420 feels like sitting in a La-z-boy while at library. I've also driven an older W126 but I really want to try out the rest at least once.

The W220 was smooth and comfy, but the W221 was leaps and bounds better. It was quiet and composed, surprisingly nimble for its size, and... everything was so effortless.

I'd take the LS and do this with the extra dollars:

VIP Style, nice.

I might be a BMW fan boy with a subaru and a lead foot, but I have always been extremely attached to VIP big bodies and vans. I'd love a Toyota Crown.

I agree with you 1000%. When given the choice of A8, S-Class, or 7 series, I pick the LS every time.
At least until the LTS comes out. (I reject cadillac's reality and substitute my own)

Great Scott, that Crown.

It's funny how Lexus makes what is probably the ultimate modern Cadillac.

You cannot go wrong with a big bodied Lexus.
Well, unless you're Will.I.Am.

And I'd spend even less money and get this:
Or for even less:

……motherfucker you wanna die??
NOBODY does luxury like cadillac. NOBODY.

I definitely agree with you especially now that Cadillac is bringing back the full size sedan.

I think the price difference between an LS and the Equus isn't too much and I much prefer the looks of the Lexus. That Genesis though, it's just about perfect. No one expects a 430hp V8 to be lurking under the hood of that.

The only reason I added the Equus was because it is in the same class as the LS and S-Class. The Genesis might be the only sedan on sale today, that I would buy.

To personally drive it, since I don't want to deal with maintenance, I'd always pick the LS, but there's just something about the S-Class that just has that amazing presence and status on the road.

I absolutely love that this is the F Sport package. Someone dropped stacks on the sports version of a big body Lexus, and then slammed it into the earth with such force that it changed our tidal patterns.
I approve of that train of thought so much.
